Canvassing through Time with Mosaic

It’s almost been two years since the pandemic has struck; however, the students of St. Andrew’s College cannot stay without living their best college life. Just like us, there are many out there who feel this emotion in different aspects of their life. It might feel like time is flying by but we would like to pause to experience the minute and live the moment.

Mosaic 2021 brings to you ‘Minutes to Moments’ where every minute is a moment and every moment is a memory. The Core chose this specific theme because they realised that we all were chasing the future without living in the present and turning the page to a new chapter. The three main days were focused on rewinding to the past, pausing to live in the present & looking forward to the future.

Day 1, Rewind, consisted of events such as ‘Jukebox Jubilee’ (Dance), ‘Pracheen Rangmanch’ (Poetry) and ‘Arcadian Age’ (Gaming). From retro smashed throwbacks to literature that evoked imagination from past experiences, we ended the day with a victory chicken royale.

Day 2, Present, started with a melody, ‘Wireless Groove’ (Music) followed by a battle of beats and rhythms, ‘Battle of the Beat’ (Beatboxing) and lastly opening the platform to a vast array of talents in ‘Show the World’ (Open Category).

Day 3, Forward, a sustainable step taken towards the environment in our fashion event, ‘Neo Couture’ and soon after, a crowning moment for our ‘Future Figures’ of our pageant event. Lastly, we took a peek into the future with the help of our talented makeup artists in ‘Foreshadow’, our makeup event.

A journey not only for the organizing committee but our participants, judges, sponsors and well-wishers. An experience that brought us closer to each other due to our love and appreciation for the arts.

From time immemorial, the arts have brought together generations of cultures to where we are now, be it through literature, performing arts, traditions or even society.

We sincerely hope that we have inspired each one of you out there to focus on the little things that make you, you. It might not have been an offline fest, but we will cherish this experience with each other and make it an unforgettable memory. We would like to thank our Principal, Dr. Marie Fernandes, our Coordinator In Charge and Vice Principal, Dr. Charmaine Braganza, the faculty of St. Andrew’s College of Arts, Science and Commerce and most importantly the Crew and Core team for making this event a huge success.

Experience Moments, Make Memories,

This is Mosaic 2021 signing off.

Until next time!
