Vinayak Vispute, Assistant Commissioner H/west ward has directed all shop keepers at Bazar Road (from Boston Hotel on S.V. Road to Jain Mandir) excluding Chemists to keep-open Essential/Grocery shops on odd and even dates. The shops situated at South Bazar road will remain open on odd dates and the shops on Northside Bazaar Road will remain open on Even dates. Failing to follow the above instructions will be liable for necessary panel actions U/s 188 of IPC.
Please note that the entire Bazar road is not shut. The starting point for the odd-even dates is from Boston Hotel on S.V. Road to Jain Mandir Road. No such rules applicable at Boran Road, Bazar road up to Jeff is functioning normally.
South Bazar road means shops towards Mahim side whereas North Bazar road means shops towards Khar side.
