‘We make food according to what you want and how you want…’ claims Hungry Ducks at Pali, a food joint that serves fast food according to the way you wish. Out of the few places in this metro city of Mumbai, Hungry Duck at Pali serves fresh preparations of ducks, chicken, pork, meat along with vegetarian items according to the way you need and demand. So, you can just walk in the food joint and ask for the dish to be prepared in a particular way.

“I don’t want people to look at the menu, I want them to come and tell me what they want and I will love to make it for them,” exclaims Lawrence Cardoz, a happy go lucky fellow, who started this restaurant cum hang-out fast food corner ‘Hungry Ducks at Pali’. Lawrence, who has been a chef in the food industry for around 30 years, always wanted to start something of his own and believed in starting a small food joint where he could experiment and try his own style of food preparations. And, Hungry Duck at Pali is like his home where he explores his food and caters to every customer in a loving, friendly and caring manner.

Hungry Ducks at Pali has a menu which has varied fast food items like fries, sandwiches, pastas, pizzas, burgers, rolls, toast, salads, rice, garlic bread, veggies, spaghetti, chops, steak, gravy and mash potatoes. And to sweeten your taste buds there are caramel and chocolate desert along with refreshing fresh lime soda, ice tea and non-alcoholic beer available as fresh as ever.

‘All dishes are prepared and served house style’…so even though you are munching fast food you feel as if you are eating home food which is much more tastier and innovative. And the food is served in innovative ways so that it looks interesting. Well, the food items not only look interesting but also taste phenomenal.

Everything right from all sauces used, mash, soup, mayonnaise, fresh lime soda and the varied amount of filings are made by Lawrence himself. He says, “The sauces are unique because I make it myself and therefore you can’t get it in the market.” Well, the sauces do the magic by adding the extra flavour to the chicken sandwich or duck burger and you can ask for more sauce without hesitation. Uncle Lawrence is always happy to add more sauce and reduce some sauce as per your taste requirements.

Another feature that sets Hungry Duck at Pali apart from the rest is the freshness of duck meat that attracts you and aggravates your taste buds to try out the dish immersed in the finger linking sauces and stuffed with relishing fillings. “We want people to crave for food and we will definitely fill their stomach to the core,” promises Lawrence.

And this holds true for the crazy burger which has a stuffing of ham, salami, bacon, cheese, chicken, egg and much more… topped by cheese this burger is a heavy meal just to hold, eating it is a different game altogether! The filling is absolutely mesmerising and with each bite you will definitely crave for another. Undoubtedly, it is the most crazy burger I have ever had! For in every bite you feel the presence of meat along with the flavour of the sauce and cheese, so there is no compromise on the stuffing at all.

The pizzas are quite unique for it is made using the thin crisp bread unlike the usual thick bread which kills the taste of the pizza toppings entirely. And if you look at the sandwich, it is huge and quite healthy as it is neatly prepared with all natural ingredients and homemade sauces. The fresh lime soda and non-alcoholic beer help to gulp the pasta or main course down your throat and refresh your being. “Teenagers love to drink the non-alcoholic beer as it is not harmful and does not contain any contain alcohol. Well, the fresh lime soda works good for their throat and cough and cold. I do not encourage them to drink aerated drinks as it is harmful for their body,” says Lawrence.

Apart from the food, Hungry Duck at Pali has a good ambience with 10 tables that seems to be a perfect place for a group of friends to chill and grab tasty bites. The place is well lit, quite cool in terms of environment and the walls are painted with caricatures drawn by a young kid which gives the youthful feel and relaxes your mind. And, the pleasing music that is constantly played adds life to the place as it makes you groove and enjoy your meal after a tiring day. “You can put whatever music you like, just connect your phone or music device and feel at home. And tell me what you want to add in your food, I will do it happily,” exclaims Lawrence.

Just in the lane at Pali Hill, Hungry Duck at Pali is a perfect place for folks to hang out, spend time with each other and have good quality food in enormous quantity. Lawrence believes, “Our selling point is food and I want to give the people the best food made in the best way that they feel. For after all, the consumer is the real decider of food, if they like it then the food is good.” If you haven’t tried ducks lately then rush to Hungry Duck at Pali Hill like a hungry soul and you be fulfilled lavishly!
