The people of Bandra are spoilt for choice when it comes to eating out options. Apart from the restaurants within the locality, the corporate hub of BKC is becoming quite a hotspot. Making it’s well deserved place in the illustrious list is ‘Dishkiyaoon’. The lounge is as unique as it’s name, be it the food or the decor. As the restaurant celebrates it’s one year anniversary we decided to give it’s brand new menu a try!

Jhinga La La Flat Bread

Chef Prasad, the head chef at Dishkiyaoon has designed an interesting menu which revolves around the theme of global fusion. To start with, we were served Vada Pao Panzilona, an interesting salad with our very own Mumbaiya twist! Served within a bed of fresh and crunchy dil, rocket and celery leaves were our familiar fried balls of happiness, the batata vadas. A dressing of yoghurt tied the dish together. Next up was the Tandoori Chicken Chimichuri Kebab, chicken marinated in Thai spices and cooked in apna tikka style. And we have to say, both appetisers were quite lip smacking!

This was followed by another interesting sounding dish called the Jhinga la la flatbread. The subtle taste of garlic cheese and herb bread was contrasted perfectly with fresh grilled shrimp on top. Simple and satisfying!

We ended our course on a high with The Chocolate Volcano. A dessert which lives up to its name. Various layers of delicious dark chocolate on a bed of warm, satisfying brownie.

In addition to it’s lip smacking new additions to the menu, Dishkiyaaon also offers a wide variety of cocktails and mocktails to liven up your spirits.

Definitely worth a try!
